![]() The Heart Wider than the Sea, Cure Marine! Erika Kurumi The history of the Precure extends over 10,000 years exceeding the history of Cure Ange, with the advent of several Precure over the course of the millennia. Whenever the world is threatened, the Precure will appear. Precure chosen by the Heart Tree and its fairies often have nature stylized powers, such as Flowers, Oceans, Sun and Moon motifs. They were embroiled in a long-standing battle against the Desert Messengers, and their leader Dune who had been previously defeated by Tsubomi’s grandmother Karouko. The nature of the Precure is as such that any girl with a righteous heart and the need to protect others can become a Precure, as long as they fill the requirement of being just, loving, and have a fairy partner to combine their power with. Strengths: The Precure’s power derives from their strong hearts and the power of the fairy behind them. While some fairies assume the role of transformation device, and others grant said device, it is best to be noted that Precure are strong when combining their powers with a partner, be it another Precure or a fairy when solo. A Precure form grants incredible strength, dexterity and agility, as well as high vitality and defense. They are able to fight one on one with huge monsters three times their size, and have to date defeated a literal Black Hole of evil. The Precure is limited by a few factors however. Weaknesses: With the mental state of a Precure being a big issue, it is said that they are vulnerable to weakening of powers if they lose confidence in themselves and the people around them. If they become depressed or upset, their powers if not their transformation itself can reverse, leaving them in a vulnerable state. Their reliance on their fairy partners as well as their transformation items also keep them from being overpowered all the time, and their equipment is valuable to a Precure to keep them in the game. Also there’s this legend about the tears of Precure being able to destroy the world… but that needs to be seen... Also, when a Precure is struck hard enough, their transformation can partially if not fully reverse to a pre-transformed state. Their abilities are severely weakened in sundress mode, and can lead to a KO if not careful. |
